My name is Dan Ganahl and I was born and raised in the Guttenberg area. All of my elementary, junior high and high school years were attended at what is now Clayton Ridge, where I graduated in 2003. After graduation, I attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA where I studied Golf Course & Turf Management. I was also given an athletic scholarship to Kirkwood where I was a member of their very successful golf program from the fall of 2003 through the spring of 2005. In 2007, I moved to SW Florida to pursue a career playing professional golf. I moved back home to NE Iowa in June of 2013 and the following summer I had my real estate license as one of the four founding agents that started Ole's 5 Star Realty! After being a salesperson for two year, I decided to further my real estate education and get my broker's license.

I got into the real estate business because I enjoy helping people along their real estate journey whether it is buying a home and starting a new chapter or selling a house and closing a previous one. Real estate has been a great way to socialize, meet new people and learn about how their journey has gotten them to where they are now! The best part of this business for me is seeing all of our clients smile when we tell them that an offer has been accepted and the privilege of sharing that joy with our buyers and sellers on closing day! 

Outside of real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family and our 3 dogs! I still love spending time on the golf course when I can whether it's playing, giving individual lessons or working with the junior golfers to pass along any knowledge and experience I've learned over the years that I not only apply to golf, but to every day life as well.
